Snowshoes

Through the help of a City of Edmonton grant for community programs that keep residents connected and active (while also physically distant), the Lessard Community League now owns 10 pairs of snowshoes for our members to use! These snowshoes are for the use of community members (with a current membership to the Lessard Community League) to get out and explore our parks and River Valley.

We've developed a 'borrowing plan' for the snowshoes; as we roll out this new program, we may adapt borrowing policies and procedures to ensure things are equitable and safe for all involved.

How to Borrow:

Send a request to engage@lessardcommunity.ca. Include in the request:

  • Your name and a phone number to reach you

  • A picture of your current LCL membership card

  • The requested rental date

  • Which snowshoes are required

A volunteer LCL member will arrange a time and location for you to pick up the snowshoes, and to return them. Snowshoes will be due back within 48 hours of the pickup time on the requested date, unless otherwise arranged. Borrowers will be accountable for the responsible use and safe return of the snowshoes.
